ABC Talking is a mobile application available for download on iPhone devices, designed to facilitate casual English conversations with Japanese users seeking to improve their language skills. The platform offers an opportunity for users to monetize their free time through engaging dialogue.

Sessions are structured into two distinct formats: a five-minute informal conversation and a ten-minute instructional class. During the five-minute chat, participants engage in spontaneous dialogue without the use of prepared scripts, aiming to mimic real-life exchanges. For the ten-minute class, predefined dialogues are utilized, allowing for a more guided instructional experience. Video communication is incorporated into both formats, with users having the discretion to enable or disable their video feed.

There is no requirement for prior reservations; callers are randomly matched with available participants, and immediate engagement is possible. Following each session, providers are expected to give constructive feedback to enhance the learning experience. The platform prioritizes authenticity by providing opportunities to experience genuine accents and everyday situations.

Participation is straightforward: simply log into the app when time permits and prepare to initiate a conversation with a friendly greeting. Prior to beginning, applicants must complete an interview process by reaching out via interview@abctalking.com.

For optimal performance, users should ensure a stable internet connection—preferably via Wi-Fi rather than cellular data—and have the application running in a quiet environment. During calls, participants may choose to answer as frequently or as infrequently as desired, with no mandatory topics for the five-minute exchanges. The ten-minute class allows for the application of teaching skills and content delivery.

Compensation is awarded after each completed session and is transferred directly to the user's PayPal account. Overall, ABC Talking offers a flexible and accessible way for individuals to earn money while practicing their language skills in real-life conversations.
